The small country Liechtenstein is redefining itself as a hub for sustainability and sustainable finance. From the 15th to the 18th of September 2010, scientiest, businessmen and delegates from many countries will discuss how to realize an innovative, just, sustainable and prosperous future. Tobias Reichmuth of SUSI Partners AG has been asked to speak about finance and banking innovations in the field of sustainable finance.
Awaken by financial, ecological and political threats, the global economy is transforming fast, from short-term thinking and a systemic reliance on non-renewable resources, to an innovative, just, sustainable and prosperous future. The Liechtenstein Congress on Sustainable Development and Responsible Investing (www.lisdar.li) provides an international platform for practical research and informed practice, guided by effective policy and enlightened by a deep sense of responsibility. Prof. Peter Droege, Professor for Sustainable Spatial Development and member of the SUSI Advisory Board signs responsible for the organization of the three day congress.
SUSI CEO Tobias Reichmuth speaks at the START Summit 2010 about Sustainable Entrepreneurship. In a following work-shop, students and businessmen discussed whether “doing no harm is good enough” from an entrepreneurial perspective.
The annual event is organized by START Global, an international student association fostering entrepreneurship. START was founded in 1996 and organizes the annual START Summit, this time in St. Gallen, Switzerland. With more than 200 attendees, the 2-day conference is a highlight in the German speaking entrepreneur scene. Mr Reichmuth introduced SUSI Partners AG and spoke about the current understanding of sustainabilty in the investor community. The term ‘Sustainability’ is widely used; however, its understanding is often contraversial. In the financial world, a per asset class different defintion can be found. With all these different definitions, the question for both investors and entrepreneurs remains, how the so called ‘triple bottom line’ of economical, ecological, and social aspects can be best combined. In the work-shop, this question was addressed and intensively discussed.
